Bidrage med feedbackWhat a new team can do! we visited regularly for Sunday dinner when it was “like a toby” career. then once, when the then owners gave us bland, small portion, so that we denied gloomy then had the infamous “You don’t want to do pudding ya?” following “For the crumb, ice OK?”, followed by a sigh when we asked for custard! last year on Saturday we had a great ride with the new owners. on Sunday we booked a lunch. the appetizers were amazing aromas, I had sourded, with slightly smoked salmon, avocado slices and sauce. the main was huge yorkshires filled with large pieces fabulous bark or lamb frame, large pieces of tasty, multiple vegetables and of course gravy. with large local wiltshire bier. we will get back to regular!
Exceptional food in this charming country pub in broad chalke. the vegan chestnut cake, roasted veg and maic wad raised. not often you can say that about vegan eating in pubs. my man enjoyed his bark and venison burger alike. well kept beer and the wine, while limited to the typical three in pubs, was similar good (I had pinot grigio.) all in all a really good experience, and found by a happy chance. we will return.
We were here for a night over Christmas. I can only comment on the accommodation, since obviously the restaurant and the pub were closed. the accommodation was excellent. both the bedroom and the bathroom were impeccable and very tastefully decorated. in an icy night we were warm and in a very well equipped room with all the extras that you would find in an upper end b
Great staff, eating and service. very friendly and professional manager (doubtful witze) with a large selection of bow ties and with his eyes firm on the ball. beautiful, well thought out garden area and exterior rooms. dogs welcome. super local ingredients menus. large selection of zider.
I go every Sunday with my family there, what an excellent pub! eating is excellent, the service is incredible. I would and would recommend this pub to everyone. you have to try. well done
