The Orchard - Wiltshire

Was very accommodating to my grandma in a wheelchair. food took about 30-40 minutes to come out and didn’t look great burger had one slice of stringy bacon. not very impressed

Lovely food, very clean and service great. Took our 4 year old grand daughter who loved the tomato pasta.

I get we are in the middle of a cost of living crisis. But if it's affecting your menu you should really say something. I live locally and feel the Orchard serves the best nachos in Amesbury. It's not a difficult thing to acheive. But tonight I came in hoping for a fix of gooey melted crunchy cheesyness. Ordered and awaited nachogeddon. What I got was a plate of tortilla chips with a bit of salsa, some sour cream and a yellow sauce with little flavour, and a couple of chilli slices. Two key ingredients were missing. Cheese and heat. No molten cheese stringyness. Infact you quickly discover nachos without cheese is a pretty difficult dish to tackle. Because most of it is a plate of hard dry tortilla chips. On trying to order a dessert at the bar I'm informed there's a fair percentage of the menu items unavailable. Because they are waiting on a delivery of food. And this explains the missing cheese. In short I know this is a good place to eat, but this experience is summed up in the title as disappointing.

The food quality was amazing and very quick service. Also got some amazing deals on at the moment! Perfect local pub.

Third mixed grill excellent service good pub meals Better now that heating on. Can't fault meals or ales. Recommended. Well done
