Bidrage med feedbackWe stayed at this hotel for 2 nights over the weekend while visiting the Christmas Market in Bath. We stayed in the Avon room, which was beautifully renovated and stylish. The room was clean and comfortable, with a nice touch of having a cafetiere and proper coffee. We appreciated the relaxing music playing on the radio when we arrived, it really added to the atmosphere. The room also had a lovely terrace balcony, although we didn't get to use it much due to the cold weather. Despite being concerned about noise from the pub/restaurant below, it was mostly quiet. The only time it was loud was during live music on Saturday night, which may have been an issue for some guests. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially the blonde lady serving breakfast on the morning we checked out. The location is convenient, only a 15-minute drive from Bath. The building itself is beautiful and peaceful. The only downside was that the food could use some improvement in terms of quality control. We had burnt toast at breakfast and a burnt burger bun for dinner. The venison was also quite tough. However, the biscoff donuts were amazing! Overall, it was a great stay in a cozy and charming place.
The Northey has had a revamp and it is delightful. Much better layout and even the staff are happier with their work place. Not only that the food was greatly improved with more vegetarian options. We have been here quite often living near by and we will use it more often. My husband said his venison was some of the best he’d ever had and my parsnip soup was scrumptious . I had a small fish and chips which was delicious in every way. Well done everyone at the Northey, you’ve nailed it!
Had a wonderful lunch with my family at this restaurant. While the vegetarian options were limited, the beetroot risotto was delightful. It was also great to see a wide selection of desserts on the menu, including the option for smaller portions. The staff were very kind and hospitable.
Disappointed after I had heard good things about this place after the referb, but a lot on the menu was not available, as they had run out of chicken. What food we did eventually get was excellent, but the service was terrible. Real shame.
My family and I visited this restaurant on Boxing Day without a reservation and were amazed by the incredibly friendly staff and service we received. Despite how busy the servers were, they went above and beyond to attend to each customer's needs. I had to ask for their names before we left to ensure they received the credit they deserved for working so tirelessly. Thank you to Lucy and Sophie for making our Boxing Day meal so special. I hope you both get to enjoy some well-deserved time off with your loved ones. Merry Christmas to all!
