Bidrage med feedbackI typically enjoy going to Costa Coffee, but unfortunately I have to avoid the one in Marlborough. The staff and food/coffee are fine, but the restaurant is extremely dirty. I believe that it needs a complete overhaul and renovation. The space is very cramped and the back area, up the steps, is particularly dirty and unattractive. I'm sorry Costa, but I will be going to Coffee Lab or Cafe Nero instead.
Really lovely service here, a man and lady on the till, brought the tea and coffee over, tried the new autumn drink and a couple toasties because it was freezing outside, lovely and warm inside, come on down
We stopped here for a quick break and lunch on our way to Devon. We are regular customers of Costa when we are out and about and know what to expect with their food and drink. The staff were friendly and pleasant enough but, as is the case with too many Costas, there is apathy when it comes to clearing and cleaning tables. If the several tables had been cleared and cleaned, instead of being left to pile up everywhere, I would have given a full five stars.
We had a bacon roll, a pain au raisin, which was re heated slightly for me, a latte and hot chocolate. Always good, but it's the service from one particular lady who's name I've forgotten that is do good.
We visited on 8 January so didn't expect it to be busy but there clearly seems they have a lot of loyal customers. We visit a Costa at least once a week in our local area but this is the first time we visited Marlborough as we were on holiday. All the staff were cheerful and engaged in conversation with customers which is very rare nowadays. It made a refreshing change and an enjoyable experience.
