Beach Bagels - Wilmington

I visited this restaurant this morning, as I have been to most breakfast spots in Wilmington. I have to say, I have never been so disappointed in any place as I was with this one. The man at the front desk who took my order was surprisingly kind (he seemed new), and despite his manager constantly yelling at him during the almost hour I was there, he was the only one who made my experience somewhat bearable. Just as I mentioned, the manager would snatch the tickets from him, yell at him, and then gossip with.

I waited for 30 minutes to receive a basic bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich. When I finally got it, I noticed that it was unevenly cut, with one side of the bagel being much larger than the other. The food was tasty, but I believe there are better options available elsewhere.

I was disappointed by the current management of this restaurant. It used to be a popular spot for both tourists and locals in Wilmington, but it has definitely declined. The staff seemed overwhelmed, leading to wait times of up to 45 minutes to an hour. We tried the Jose sandwich and found it to be just okay. It seemed like it was hastily put together without much attention to ensuring all the ingredients were evenly distributed. Despite being busy, they were still accepting orders.

DoorDashing with these guys is a headache. I call in to make sure they still have the ?insulated bag rule? they said they did, not a problem I canceled my order and proceeded to head there to get my own bagel instead. The problem is someone without an insulated bag picked that order up 10 minutes later with some poor excuse. I go in two days later accepting a DD order and they deny me and deny my claims above. So let?s just have some consistency please.

For the food be a sub prime ?bagel?. Not only is the wait long but for no reason. They seem to think call and online order is more important than a face to face order. Ordering something as simple as a b/e/c took over 20 min? bagels are not that fresh and ingredients not that good
