Bidrage med feedbackMy cousins and aunts who are not vegan were able to have delicious options and I have more than vegetables and fries for lunch in the city – super rare! So grateful for this delicious place and its wonderful staff. Literally some of the best vegan Mac I had everywhere #Veganuar
I ordered the $9 vegan mac and cheese and was disappointed with the portion size, which was smaller than a microwave Velveeta cup. Despite the small portion, the mac and cheese tasted really good. The vegan buffalo "chicken" dish was overly sweet and not actually buffalo flavor, and the "chicken" turned out to be tofu. The pierogis were good, but I found a hair in them. Overall, I would recommend going to a different vegan restaurant instead of this one.
The restaurant Cheesy Chick offers a separate vegan menu with plenty of options. I ordered a regular vegan grilled cheese through Uber Eats and was not disappointed. Although this menu item is available at all times, it felt like a special treat due to its richness. The combination of cheese and bread was delicious, but I believe it could be improved with less oil.
The Vegan Pierogies are my top choice and the Buffalo Mac and Cheese is also delicious.
Look no further for vegan cheesy goodness! The Cheesy Chick is a food truck normally located in Williamsville but they do occasionally go elsewhere for pop ups so check their Instagram/Facebook for updates. They've got an entire separate vegan menu with grilled cheeses, wraps, mac n cheese, and salads, all centering on cheese. We got the vegan mac and a Philly grilled cheese with housemade seitan, green peppers, and onions on Texas toast. Perfection! They are not skimpy on the cheese which I really appreciate cuz so many non vegan places don't use enough vegan cheese and don't know how to prepare it. We chatted for a while with the cook in the truck and he clearly knows his stuff about preparing vegan food and trying new things! They use Daiya so if that offends you (Daiya seems to really upset some ppl) maybe go elsewhere? But if you haven't tried the new Daiya, I highly recommend bringing and open mind and give it a try. It's so melty and cheesy and hits that perfect nostalgia factor for cheese. Will definitely be back whenever I've got a cheesy craving!
