Opus 9 Steakhouse - Williamsburg

Just had one of the best Sunday Brunches here. The food was excellent and the live jazz was really nice. A big thank you to my waiter Craig and the rest of the staff for making my birthday extra special!

This is an excellent restaurant. I went here with my boyfriend for our anniversary and it was certainly a memorable anniversary. Our server Matt was very much on top of our needs with anticipating refills, offering a container to keep our wine cool in, and I swear he was reading our mind. The food was amazing and exceeded my expectations. It is pricey but for an anniversary, I'd say it was worth it.

The steakhouse is upscale with a comfortable and inviting feel. Apparel of customers ranged from t shirts and jeans to suits. The servers are extraordinarily attentive and friendly. The bartender went of her way to make sure I found a bourbon to my liking after my initial choices were unavailable. Our server was knowledgeable offering up suggestions and favorites as well as extemely friendly. The food was incredible. I ordered the cowboy ribeye medium rare. It was served on top of sizzling butter. The steak was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The fat was rendered and melted in your mouth. She had the steak and lobster combo. The lobster was sweet and tender. We also had a few sides including the au gratin potatoes and the creamed corn. Both were exceptional and would have been the stars had it not been for the great steaks. We finished the evening with the orange white chocolate tiramisu. Not too sweet, a bit zesty, paired with a rich coffee flavor. They offer a wide variety of drinks, including a quality bourbon selection that features there own pick of Buffalo Trace; an extensive wine list, and good beer list. Their dessert drink menu includes a number of coffee, port, sherry, and after dinner liquor options. While it isn't a cheap date, it is worth a trip to treat yourself and somebody you care about.

The hottest steak I've ever eaten- hotter than those sizzling fajita plates at other restaurants. Well seasoned too. The potato sides were also very good. Finished our meal with their version of molten lava cake which was also quite tasty. Not a cheap place but you'll leave feeling like you got your money's worth. A great anniversary dinner!
