Rowntrees - Wigan

We just so happened to come across this cafe on a visit to Manchester, the food was home made and hot , compliments to the chef it tasted good very good shell certainly pay another visit when that way again.

My boyfriend and I eat here all the time! The fish and chips are great, the breakfasts are great, it's all great. The staff are lovely. Good value for money. Lovely pics of the Coronation St characters on the walls. Can't speak highly enough of the place.

Marie manager was honestly horrible treating people in cafe. So disrespectful and aggressive. I’m highly recommending this woman should be fired,cause that’s not normal what she was saying to people. I will make sure that the police report will be done in this place cause of this woman.

At last a traditional cafe, excellent full English breakfast and plenty of toast. Cannot recommend enough. Good food, good value.

I am a regular at this cafe as i live in the city centre, and i usually have the full English breakfast .... it 's a basic, busy city centre cafe serving basic food, no fuss, no frills , which suits me down to the ground .... it 's the type of place that you could go in on your own, and you don 't feel awkward, all kinds of people use it including construction workers, shoppers and families , old and young ..... the staff are always helpful ...... my only small 'gripe ', is that the food can sometimes be a bit on the lukewarm side, but a mention to the staff and they will quickly amend it ..... the place never seems to be short of customers, either eating in, or taking away, and has stood the test of time, which probably speaks volumes for it.
