I have eaten there many times in the last 8 years, even after moving to another town I return now and then to have lunch there. It's true, the atmosphere is very sterile, like in a canteen, and due to the open kitchen it is smelly, but normally this is all accepted as the food has always been gorgeous. My favorite dish are the Rocky Makis, and I remember how they tasted years ago. And now they haven't been as they used to: the base was still good, the makis were perfect, but they were covered with a really disgusting wasabi sour-cream sauce. It spoiled the whole dish. Next time I will ask to get it without sauce. And as so many others also wrote about: if it is not an emergency case, then don't use the toilets!
This restaurant is an excellent blend of Chinese and Thai, The service is excellent and the food delicious and tasty. Very good examples of its type. I really recommend this to you. Tricky to locate but worth the effort.
Found this restaurant in Rough Guide and decided to give it a try as both my wife and I enjoy oriental food. It's a little difficult to find the restaurant, as it has no sign, but on exiting the U Bahn, look for a small blue glass door to the right of a chemists shop and that's it.All I can say is that it was some of the best Chinese/Thai food that I've had with good sized portions at what I consider to be reasonable prices, and next time i'm in Vienna I will be returning.
This place has a variety of really nice dishes and super tasty exotic fruits - they those out!! The atmosphere is a bit sterile-maybe the light was just a bit too bright but the place has a modern touch, simple and sleek. If you like that, you are in the right place. The area of Landstraße is also really nice for a walk. Super close to the subway station Rochusgasse. Beware of spicy...it's super spicy here!!!
