Fresh Off The Hook Fish Grill

Love! Off the Hook in uptown Whittier! Always great food, love eating in the outdoor patio area. Salmon Salad, and tacos are my favorites but really all the meals are fantastic!

FOOD After seeing all the great reviews, I had to come try it out for myself. This was my first time and it happened to be Taco Tuesday, one of their weekly specials. Each taco was $2.99 from your choice of Crispy Fish, Crispy Shrimp, Grilled Fish, or Grilled Shrimp. I ordered two Crispy Fish and one Crispy Shrimp. Each taco is topped with a sauce, which I believe varied from Creamy Cilantro, Creamy Chipotle, Honey Spice, and Habanero. I topped my tacos with Creamy Cilantro and Chipotle. I liked both sauces but each taco has so much on it that you definitely need more sauce. Order some extras! I appreciated that the tortillas seemed handmade. They were sturdy and more dense than your typical corn tortilla. The fish itself was breaded similarly to panko as opposed to beer battered (oily) like others. I didn 't mind it. It was still crunchy but it could use just a little more flavor. Like I said, this might 've been because there wasn 't enough sauce to the ratio of toppings. Overall, it was really good. I did also order Cajun Fries and those weren 't too evenly seasoned and the fries themselves were a little soggy. I prefer my fries more crispy but they were thin and still really tasty. They have a lot of choices so I can 't wait to come by again and try some other items. SERVICE We were happily greeted right away and we decided to dine in. They were pretty busy so it took a few minutes to get a waitress but not a big deal. Everyone was kind and helpful and the food was fresh.

Absolutely amazing surf tacos!!!! I got grilled fish and grilled shrimp tacos. Also two deep fried fish tacos. These tacos are filling and are a pretty decent size. They have house made sauces that are perfect for some drizzle. And the tortillas are a corn mix and flour mix combined that makes them excellent on the taco. Wash it all down with a michelada and you know you taco Tuesday the right way! This place is amazing and should be on your list if you're in Whittier.

Great spot to grab a quick bite or sit down in their patio to dine-in! Baja-style menu so we ordered the lobster ceviche and it was the bomb! Whole pieces of real lobster claw meat it was excellent, next time I'm going to try the Lobster Wrap!

Suuuuuuper bomb seafood spot, OMG! I haven't moaned because food in a while but this place did it. Hearty and flavorful mahi mahi plate, shrimp burrito, fish n' chips. YAH. Extra large portions surprised me, too. There is indoor seating with sports games on TVs and a lot of spacious outdoor seating. Shoutout to the cute server for superb service and singing along to the Bad Bunny music playing.
