Bidrage med feedbackOn the fence about this place At first when you walk in it does have a musky smell (expected) could be a little more organized and cleaner. As for the food I admit I was hesitant I end up ordering the grilled cheese with french fries came out good my friend ordered the BLT was good over all I believe the food is edible and the prices are a little high but for the location I see why.
We booked this hotel because the Inn at Whittier had to cancel us due to water damage. Check-in is in the restaurant, odd but was quick and easy enough. Our room was a ‘standard’ queen, bed was very comfortable, but the room itself was cold and uncomfortable, no Alaskan type decor except the bed coverlet, very minimal and severely outdated furniture, one wall was all windows, only one opened to get fresh air into the room, no curtains, just metal 1 inch shades that did NOT keep light out(this was especially important due to the window view, see pics of our view). If you needed the front desk or had any questions, you had to walk downstairs, across the parking lot, go up another flight of stairs to get into the restaurant where the ‘front desk’ wasit was pouring the entire 2 days we were there to catch out cruisethe room phone was not hooked up and in a dresser drawer, not sure why. Definitely nothing to do in Whittier in September while waiting for your cruise because most shops are already closed for the season. Most staffers were very nice and friendlyroom and hotel, including restaurant needs severe updating. The older gentleman who drove the shuttle bus to the cruise port had loads of great information on the area ..he was awesome.
