Traveled to Coromandel from Auckland for my birthday yesterday and stopped by Minos Mussel Kitchen for lunch. We ordered the 1kg pot of steamed mussels with cream and white wine (delicious , sashimi slides (omg yum and the Saganaki prawns (so nice! . Everything was fingerlicking good. If I had more space in my tummy I would have ordered the oysters too. Staff were great, ambiance was great. Would definitely dine here again.

One of those places you hope to discover Had the platter to share. Looked fantastic, tasted the same.. Was desperately sick upon arriving at hot water beach. Spent the next 2.5 hours in the bathroom. I remember thinking how clean and orderly the restaurant was. I hope it was something else

Best seafood for miles!!! Mussels and oysters are delicious, but my favourite was the seafood chowder

The green Thai curried mussels are my fave. Over the past 10 years we have been visiting and the mussels never disappoint.
