Bidrage med feedbackWe ate two times at the Dirty Northern pub, once on our way up to Tuktoyaktuk and once on our way back. We were not in the restaurant. The Arctic char (pictured in photo) was absolutely to die for! The very best Arctic char I have ever had, with friedcapers, a lovely sauce, roasted garlic, cloves, and potatoes with broccolini. Returning from the north We debated getting theChar again, but decided to go with the truffle pizza, and a couple we were traveling with went the traditional ham and pineappleroute. Both were so good, no photographs unfortunately as the pizza disappeared too quickly! Try the Banofee (banana toffee) ifyou have any room once finished supper. The craft beer selection (Oregon, Vancouver, and Whitehorse) is excellent as well. Ihighly highly recommend this restaurant if you are in Whitehorse. A busy place, there was quite a lineup the first time we werethere in mid August, but by the middle of September when we were on our way back it was full but we got in quite easily... bothtimes about 6:00. An added bonus, it's a sports bar, so I got to watch a couple of Blue Jays games which given the general lackof cell service and Wi-Fi in the north was a treat.
So we got to town yesterday and stopped in here for food and drinks. We had wings and ribs which were amazing. I had a bison burger which was good not great. The fries were good and then we had a Hawaiian Pizza which was good but small for the price.Great setup and a must go
We came to the city yesterday and thought to eat and drink. we had wings and ribs that were amazing. I had a bisonburger who wasn't good. the fries were good and then we had a Hawaiian pizza that was good but small for the price. great equipment and you have to go
This place is great! the jalapeño poppers and french wobbly soup are tasteful and fillable. bison burger was tasty, but for my preference a delicate patty would be more beautiful than the solid one- feels like a frozen food store patty vs something made in the house.
An average bar/pub style restaurant with a variety of Yukon foods. There was some confusion about which door to go through, since Miner's Daughter and Dirty Northern are the same location on Google Maps... One is supposed to be the bar and one the restaurant, but both look like bars when you go in. If the review was helpful, please follow and/or like for more! Service: (2/5) Service was slightly below average. We waited a good few min at the door until someone greeted us and told us to pick any seat. Servers dropped by maybe once during the 1.5 hour meal to refill water. The food took about 30 min to make, I'm not sure if it's because of we entered the wrong restaurant or not. Food: (3/5) We tried a few of their specialties including the Bison Burger and the Arctic Char. The bison burger was a big letdown for me, it didn't taste much different in terms of taste or texture from a White Spot beef patty. The Arctic Char was pretty decent. The ribs rack had good portions, but the meat was a bit on the dry side. COVID: (n/a)
