Dairy Queen - White Oak

Fries were very under cooked food was awful. Two meals. Two small Ice creams. Got a receipt that said 27.90. Was charged 34.90. When I called Manager acted like no big deal.

Had dessert there. I got mini cone. The new chocolate one. Very good. Thick and creamy. Like homemade ice cream. Place was very clean and nice. Not loud. Big area for kids to play in, separate from rest of dining area. All inside.

Out of several items on the menu, the candy in each blizzard tasted old. Like it was stale? Sodas tasted only of carbonation.

I've never really been a fan of Dairy Queen. I really like their ice cream but when I can get a whole half gallon of Bluebell ice cream for about the same price as one of their cones. The choice is clear.

The restaurant is clean, has a play area for kids and some video games. My food was fine and the service was fine. My 1 star is a result of economics. A HB jr. w/cheese combo meal now totals $8.53, and it fits in my fingers. This is how Dairy Queen et. al.are coping with the increase in minimum wage (less product, higher price, fewer deals). But more pay doesn't translate directlyto increased performance.
