Mcdonald's - Whitby

I recently tried McDonald's 'Create Your Taste' computer kiosk service for the second time.

This McDonald's is of a decent size, complete with a children's play area in one corner and a convenient drive-thru. It can get busy with lines forming both inside and outside, but the service is generally efficient.

Typical McDonald's. Great play land. Kids loved it! The kids didn't want to leave. The kids love the food, I prefer something else.

I have visited this McD's three consecutive mornings and each time the service has been terrible. The location is great and the property is clean and well kept with a very nice patio but the service is totally awful. Each time I went the cashier can handle more customers than the poor clerk can dish out, so there is a huge line up waiting for the food. They have a numbering system but often forget to display the number. This morning after lining up to order a coffee (double double) and a pastry, I had to re-line up to get my order. After several minutes and much confusion at the counter my order came up without my number being displayed. When I finally made it out to the patio, I found my coffee was black! Rather than go through this again, I ditched the coffee and walked across the parking lot to Tim Hortons. Never to return. The people waiting for their food orders have to stand at a choke point in the restaurant blocking other people coming and going. Very poorly managed.

This was a nice clean McDonalds. Service was a little slow, but we had a big order. They seemed to have some difficulty understanding our English on the day we visited, but we are Southern, so it's probably our fault ????
