Very disappointed in this place. Unfortunately I sat down with a direct view into the kitchen. There was a large man, I presume the owner, who was coughing up a lung into his hand before handling food (numerous times). The cook was sweating over the grill, rubbing the sweat off his head, then plating food. To top of all off, the larger man and the cook lit up CIGARETTES in the kitchen!! I was completely repulsed. I asked to please cancel my dish as I can’t eat food prepared in these dirty conditions, and they treated my grandparents terribly the rest of the meal. The large owner man literally threw the check at my grandpa. TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE!!! I will say, everyone dining around us acted as if they were a regular. I admit the food looked good! But I highly advise staying away from this establishment. It’s sad but only a matter of time before department of health closes this place down! Shame on you Trattoria Toscana Kid-friendliness: Definitely kid friendly as there was a 6-7 year old boy throwing a tantrum and throwing crayons the entire evening

We read this place in Daily Record. My wife is a relaxing franchise shop on Rt. 10 W. in East Hannover, and we pass the restaurant every day on the way home.
