Bidrage med feedbackNOTE: I support restaurants during COVID 19. Due to health reasons, I only 'dine in ' where there 's a distanced outdoor seating area or at restaurants with curbside pickup or a takeaway option. SO next time you drive SOUTH on SCENIC HWY 105 and you come to a fork in the road (left to Tokeland or right to Westport) I hope this helps you avoid our mistake. I suggest you STOP RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!, look to your right to see the CRANBERRY ROAD WINERY. Instead we Yelped places with OUTDOOR dining nearby the ocean. Westport had options so we went. We were so UNBELIEVABLY SHOCKED After one pass through, we drove through twice more. Outdoor Seating: tables jammed close under tents. Takeaway: People in lines with ZERO SOCIAL DISTANCE and not all people were wearing masks. We turned around fast! Well, as fast as old people drive, only to end up where we started at the CRANBERRY ROAD WINERY! It wasn 't by the ocean but I felt I could eat there and still come home safe and healthy. ALL COVID PROTOCOLS FOLLOWED, indoors and out. SEATING: Indoors was spacious and distanced well but we chose the large outdoor area with tables (distanced well) in the warm summer sun. STAFF: limited, so we expected slower wait times but with a new normal, it wasn 't that bad our server came with water and menus in good time. FOOD: The menu has a good selection. We asked the helpful server if the Wine Bucket was enough for two? She suggested adding to it (extra crab, shrimp, clams) and we opted for crab. My HANGY BF ordered cheesy bread, and it came quickly with our drinks. The Wine Bucket is typically served on butcher paper on the table but the server suggested we pull from the pot to not attract insects. We only had one yellow jacket but he didn 't stay long DRINKS: Wine Cocktail Other. My Chardonnay was SO good (even my no oaky, no buttery, Pinot Grigio BF liked it) I forgot to ask the name. I was surprised they had cocktails I 'll let you all know how they are NEXT TIME. I hope this review helps in avoiding our mistake of not stopping at the CRANBERRY ROAD WINERY! SUGGESTIONS to the Proprietor: Umbrellas for all outdoor tables and as the weather becomes cooler or when the sun isn 't out, heaters could bring in more guests with high risk health limitations. Otherwise, very nice job with following protocols and hiring caring staff. I wish you good fortune in the upcoming cold seasons.
Passed this place a few times and found it appealing so we wanted to try it out. We went in at dinner time on Friday. We decided to do the wine tasting but one of the waitresses told us that we can only do that at the bar. So since it was slow we went ahead and did that and just decided to have a meal after. We go over to the bar and a lady with an ascent helps us. I didnt catch her name since I was busy looking at the decor. Anyway, she helps us get a drink. My friend does wine tasting and I get their popular mixed bourbon drink. The bartender makes my drink and then adds water to it. Liiiiiike what!? My drink of course tasted water down and I got confused how its popular. As for my friend she gets a 3 second poor of wine through the whole wine tasting. Ive never seen a wine tasting place that gives so little. I finish my drink and conversated for a minute. I wanted to get one last drink to hang out with while we go to the table to order a meal. The bartender tells me that she CANT give me another drink until an hour from now because it's Washington State law. First of all im not buzzed, drunk or anything and she denied service shes the only bartender in a restaurant , in Washington State that told me that ever.. So I was like whatever. My friend finished her wine tasting and we then go to our table to order a meal. I order the steamer clam and she orders the Slammer Pizza. With the cost of both I expected atleast a decent meal. But we didnt get that. The steamer clam tasted like water with a hint of ginger. I even added pepper, hoping it would get better. The pizza didnt have much flavor until we asked for some sauces. So we left the place very unsatisfied. We ended going to the blackbeard brewery for great food, drinks and service.
Second visit in a year. Last year's visit was slow with pretty good food that made us want to go back, especially in this desert for food that isn't deep fried. Greeted and seated quickly. Attentive at first until the only waitress got busy. There were two in the kitchen and another lady whose role was unclear. Food came quickly, unlike other reviews. Salad was overdressed. Brady oyster shooters were not very good. My wife didn't think they tasted fresh. I thought the variety was very metallic and the cocktail sauce was bad. Didn't finish them. Kids cheese pizza was quick. The crust was pocketed with dry flour making it mealy. Kids liked it fine. Cheese was an odd mixture of mozzarella and something else unknown. My cocktail was solid. My wife's wine (syrah) was good. Cabernet Franc was much lesser a wine. The interesting part was when my steak came. Medium rare came out stiff as a board. I ate some pieces from the center to see if it was edible. It was also heavily seasoned in a funky seasoning. Eventually (the restaurant got a little busy), the waitress asked how it was. I explained the steak was over cooked about 2 levels too well. She didn't know what to do. Eventually, I asked if there was anything they would do. I heard some discussion with the manager and eventually was offered a dessert after some discussion with me about the 6 bites I had. I declined so I could get my kids home. Paid full price. Not the best experience. I've attached my steak picture so you can see how I ate too much for a discount or anything.
We ate here our first night in town. I wanted to order fish. The fish special, in fact, sounded fantastic. But all seafood mains were in the $37-$42 range and that just seemed outrageous for what was, at best, a casual restaurant in a town where most houses and motels look like they should be condemned. (Sorry, but that 's true. It felt like they were set up to gouge tourists. So I got one of their wood-fired pizzas and it was good, but nothing to rave about. Service? I agree with another reviewer who said it was rushed and impersonal. It was spotty at best, and the place had maybe three tables. With the way the waitress scurried, you 'd think she was the lone server for 10+ tables. Alternatively, there were at least 5 people behind the counters (owners and chefs, it seemed , who couldn 't be bothered to help. It was odd. It just seemed like the prices were outrageously disconnected with the setting. And the service definitely needs improvements. I can 't recommend them. I am being nice by giving three stars because my daughter liked her pizza and my mom liked the clam chowder, though the salad she got, she said had a weird dressing and she is a salad lover.
This place has become one of our go-to dining options when in town. My wife and I frequently visit this area as our family has a vacation property along the coast, so any extended weekend will find us in town as we escape the big city. We 've stopped in here many times, and honestly I 'm not sure how I had not written a review yet. We 've literally been coming here since it was the old Bog Water Brewery , we watched it get rebuilt after the fire and become the Cranberry Road Winery that we know and love today. This review will be a bit different than my normal, because this is a place I 've been to many times and I 've tried several menu offerings. They do a pretty good pizza here. We 've never ordered a pizza and been unhappy with it. We are aware that there is a pizza option just up the road a bit, but being in the kitchen design field I know how that other place does their pizza program and frankly I 'm not interested. The pizzas here are hand made, the dough rolled out, it 's not a pre-made crust that gets topped and microwaved, they actually make pizzas here. They then load them in a real pizza oven, one that was built right here in Washington state. So the pizzas here are real deal pizzas and on par with any quality pizza joint you 'll find anywhere. They do it the right way and they do it to order. I have a special place in my heart for the Brussels Sprouts here. I 've said before, I love a good deep fried Brussels Sprout dish. This one delivers. Look, it 's the Cranberry Road Winery, it 'd be a sin to not top them with cranberries. the pine nuts add a great texture element while the balsamic reduction gives it a depth of flavor that you 'll really love. Top that with some great feta cheese and you 've got a knockout of a dish that you 'll fall in love with every time you order it. The service here has always been great. We 've been here when it 's busy, we 've been here when it 's literally just us. We 've sat inside on colder days, we 've sat out on the patio on those perfectly sunny days. We 've always gotten great service by people who are fun, interesting and genuine. Maybe we 've just been lucky, maybe they 've grown to remember us, I don 't know. Either way, I 'll take it. In closing, we love this place and continue to return. We even look forward to it.
