Bidrage med feedbackStaff unable to speak english. which they even admitted. got frozen brie for starters and for mains i ordered a breakfast with no eggs or beans. after about 40 minutes i received a breakfast with eggs AND beans along with some hairy toast. all and all i will most definitely not return to this place and wouldn’t recommend it to my worst enemy. it was definitely a Yucky Yucky experience
We wanted to have dinner some friends and I and we went there. English is not our first language, and we sometimes make mistakes. A friend and I wanted to share the chicken wings and I don’t know why the boy who were attending us though that we ordered two big dishes of chicken wings. When we realized what was happening, we talked with the boy and he was making fun of us and with no respect.
This place had good food. No cocktails but they served hard alcohol, wine and beer. We ordered the stuffed chicken and potatoes it was delicious!!!! The burger was average. The curry chicken looked delicious I wish I would of ordered it instead of the burger. The chicken wrap and chicken wings more like chicken tenders) were average too.
Walked into An File. No one greeted us. There were plenty of open tables. We found one and sat down, looking around for someone on the wait staff to acknowledge us. There were several servers, seemingly with time on their hands, chatting away. Never came near us, never even looked our way, seemed to consciously be avoiding us. We were pretty obviously looking for help, but no one came. After 10 minutes, we just left. No one likes to be dissed so blatantly. For the rest of our stay in Westport, we happily walked past An File every day, with nary a thought at all of going in. (We walked a bit further down the street and found a lovely pub/restaurant where the wait staff was most attentive and hospitable and the food was excellent. A pity to have to be so harsh, but I wouldn't waste my time with An File (and Raftery the Poet would be spinning in his grave to find himself associated with the place .
If you want an awful globalist non Irish experience served by an arrogant Syrian ? and a very aggressive Carlos go there. One Irish on show who is the manager. She is rude and incompetent. Kudos to the chef as the food is usually really good . As we did not take any of their nonsense myself and my three sons who were trying to get a pre leaving cert dinner got told they would not serve us! What a farsi!! Hoban's across the road gave us the best service and delicious chicken wings. All Irish, typically charming and great food. Go there!!
