R J's - Weston

This has to be one of the weirdest bars i have ever been to. The staff is hostile!! You have to ask permission to leave. This place should be shut down. They are pro gun and pro pissed off cussing at everyone. Not a good combination. The bartender is just plain mean for no reason. Spend your money elsewhere.

Had a long trip in, and decided to stop for a couple of beers. I arrived at RJ 's, and was met at the door by the bartender(nice lady), to put on my mask(which I understand), and to place my hands, in a hot bucket of water (luke warm), and was seated at her table. Her table was a table placed right by the bar in between the bar, and the entrance to a pool table, with 2 boxes collecting spent beer bottles, which was removed, and placed under the table after my first beer. Not a very large beer selection, which I understand, it is a small local bar. I order 2 Busch lights, and was told 4 dollars. I had 2. after about 30 minutes or so I decided it was time to go, the bar tender was nice, but to me it just wasn 't a very welcoming atmosphere. I ask for the tab, and keep in mind I am not a penny pincher, but the 4 dollar beer, turned into a 5 dollar beer, within the 30 minutes I was there. I tabbed out, and told the fella at the door have a good night. He wasn 't the most welcoming person I have encountered. This is just my Experience. I did not write this to make your mind up for you, or discourage you from visiting this establishment. Just my experience there. Weston as a whole is, a pretty cool town, decent amount of options for drinks, and food all within a walkable stretch. If you decide to stop in, who knows, maybe you wont have the experience I did, but personally I will not be returning.

If I could give a negative star I would. Where to start, oh let's start with the bartender and her attitude. You know, when we come in for 1 beer before we go to dinner, I don't need you redneck smart ass attitude. Keep your opinions to yourself and you might make a living. You wonder why we didn't tip and the other group with us didn't? We did not come in to listen to your trash mouth and crappy attitude towards other guest. We can only image what you said about us after we left, seeing you talked about every non local who came in. I could rant all night but what is the use, she won't change and I am sorry we stopped here before dinner. What a **** hole and red neck hang out.

It is with a heavy heart that the wife and I experienced this fun loving bar for the last time. The bar will be under new ownership moving forward. This place will never be the same. TJ you have touched our hearts more than you can imagine. From the laughs we shared and the tears we shared, you will always have a special place in our lives. Can't wait for your next chapter and share more fun loving times in your new location. See you soon!

This place is great if you're a patriotic American. Otherwise, you won't have a good time. The management and bartender have no patience for anti-American statements or activities. Good people and a fun atmosphere. The bar has historic significance as well being the oldest bar in Missouri. Great place to hang out and have a few drinks!
