Agave Tamale - Westlake

I have tried eating here on several occasions, each time getting something different than before. It 's consistently bad. The mexican food, is just gross. The tamales are salty, and mushy and taste like they 're straight up out of a can. The nachos are just tostitos chips covered in melted velveeta, and ground beef. The chili is sweet tasting, and runny. The poboys are hit and miss, nothing really special. Changing the restaurant name/location but keeping the same, awful food is just bad business.

I had a large shrimp poboy. What I got was a mayonnaise poboy. I couldn’t eat it! And it was expensive for a mayonnaise poboy!

The bread is great. Shrimp were so-so the prices were a bit high. $12 for a large sandwich.

Its a pretty good joint, though somedays it is better than others. A quick stop for cheap taco's on Tuesday during their special, and for a quick poboy.
