Bidrage med feedbackHung out at Cupsogue Beach on Thursday morning. A very nice and isolated beach, but the water can get choppy, and at least when we visited during the week there were no lifeguards. Quality: Cupsogue Beach is a very nice beach in Long Island. It is hard to get a true assessment because we visited during COVID, and technically shouldn't have even been there. However, being that it was a relatively quiet weekday, we did not have any issues. We just settled into part of the large swath of sand and enjoyed the morning sun. The waves were very intense during our visit, knocking down at least two kids, so just be careful and heed the warning signs. Quantity: A massive stretch of beach, with tons of sand. Value: Currently resident only, but the signs showed $18. We ended up avoiding both the resident restriction and the fee by arriving before 8:30am. Ambiance: Cupsogue Beach is a pretty stretch of beach in Westhampton, Long Island. Located at the end of a two lane road of a quiet community, the beach is a quiet getaway. Definitely not as popular or well known as other Long Island beaches, this seemed like a bigger draw for locals, even when non-residents are permitted. The beach has some amenities, like showers and bathrooms, though I did not wander over to see the COVID status. Crowd: Even on an overcast weekday, the parking lot still ended up about half full. Luckily it is a large beach, with plenty of space of folks to space out. Also, I saw a ton of folks out with their dogs, though no signs saying whether or not that was actually permitted. Service: I saw a few staff members riding along the beach in carts helping keep things tidy, but I felt they could have used a few lifeguards. The waves were very rough, and the single sign near the entry did not seem to deter beachgoers from going in the water. Parking: Massive parking lot along the beach.
This beach is extremely clean , everyone is friendly , there's a beach hut restaurant on the beach which makes the beach #1 to go to . Its a plus to have everything right there for anyone . The waves are perfect you can go our in the water and not get hit and smacked around and rolled over everywhere . The water is gorgeous its clear and you can see your feet when your in the water . You can see lots of fish , there's crabs , seaweed . The salt water isn't strong at all . Seashells there's so many seashells that you can take a bucket and have lots of fun shell shopping . There small to big shells . There is also sea glass which I was surprised . The sea glass there is really cool small and big pieces all different colors . There is changing rooms , bathrooms , and showers . Everything is clean and everyone is polite . I didn't even see any garbage laying around . This is the first beach I've gone to which was actually really clean and people are really nice . The parking fee is only 15$ which is not bad at all then you can park anywhere and just go onto the beach . The sand is perfect its so soft and some shells but its easy to walk on . Its great for anyone family , couples , groups etc . The west Hamptons beach is a must to go to .
The Beach Hut on Dune rd is a fun place to go in the summer during the day, or if you want to catch a sun set. They have live music all day, and close at 9pm. The food is very basic. Basically beach seafood and finger foods. They have a bar also where you can get mixed drinks or daiquiris. If you are looking to get a quick bite on the beach, or want to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset on the ocean and not break your wallet, then this is the place. Music is kind of loud, and if you are going to come with a big party don't expect to find seating for everyone.
You wanna play then you gotta pay! Cupsogue Beach has their own parking fees. NY State Parking permit? Too bad so sad sucka, pay! And the police? They are in full uniform scouring this beach looking for sun bathers with open containers. You'll get a ticket, they don't play around. If you can handle the PoPo watching you, then (Do the Jussaric Park voice) Welcome to Cupsogue Beach The sugar sand beaches. Clean water. Clean everything! Do you think Summer folks in West Hampton want Riff Raff and garbage anywhere on Dune Rd? Surely you jest. (And don't call me Shirley)
This beach hut has really good food. The food is always fresh. The staff is always friendly and they have great food choice selections. They also have a great bar. The banana mudslide is out of this world. Prices are high. But it's worth it for a beach day. We ordered the pulled pork sandwich which came with fries. It was really tasty and moist. I also ordered the coconut shrimp spring rolls. They were out of this world!!!!!
