Eco Cafe - Westerose

Food and service are great( it takes little bit longer to get the food), the only thing they need is to update the interior, but maybe an exterior, as well. They would need a new furniture for sure, and new chairs for the patio!

Great food. Safe service and very busy. Call ahead. Great for bikers and those wanting a day trip in Central Alberta. Provides excellent takeout and there are tables set up close to the restaurant to social distance with your friends.

After supporting them for 17 years we walked in on a Friday night, no waitress in sight, she had been in the back doing dishes. Yuck, and service was poor as she continued to go into the back to do dishes. We complained and told them to put on more staff. Two weeks later the same thing happened so we left and found another place. At that point we only returned earlier this summer when the other place was busy. Saturday, lunch, one waitress on. It was terrible. Never again. The food is great but let me tell you why so many locals flock to the other place and have left this one behind. We all have friends, neighbors, or relatives who have worked there and they all tell why they left, and in respect to them we cannot give money to this place. Reports of bullying, humiliation, and the manager not sharing tips. Additionally they break some Alberta Employment laws, specifically telling staff to pay for dishes they break, meals they make mistakes on ordering, cooks to pay for roasts they over cook, and people not paid a 3 hour minimum when they show up to work and are told to go home. The manager is said to take preferred tables while giving other servers the poorer tipping tables. The food is good but the menu could use an update.

Best steak sandwich in Alberta. Amazing seasoning and cooked to perfection. Highly recommend and planning to return soon with different friends

Just a fabulous place for lunch or supper. My husband had a steak sandwich and I had Tom’s steak salad. All round just fantastic
