Papa Razzi - Westbury

My friends and family have been going to Papa-Razzi for years! We always have a good meal for a good price and the service is just about always friendly and quick. Ok, once in awhile they get a slow or not so great server, but they don't last.

A girlfriend and myself went around 8pm on a Mon. night. We were greeted promptly and seated immediately. Our waitress was knowledgeable and outgoing and specials were explained to us. Breadsticks were brought right away. Salads were fantastic and we had bruschetta (outrageous! Pasta was HOT (as it SHOULD be (I HATE cold food! Drink refills were given without asking. We were so impressed I booked it for Aug. 12 for 12 people for a dinner birthday. We told the manager how much we loved it. I don't know how the other two reviews managed to get such lousy everything. There's no way they could do anything wrong! It was FANTASTIC!!!!

We were in on a Friday Night, early. We were the only table in our server 's section. My friend and I both asked for club soda, and were brought sprite instead. When we politely pointed this out to our server, her response was are you sure? She not-so-promptly brought us our drinks, and made some comment about waiting for us to taste it, and make sure we were happy with our drinks. We ordered salad, pasta, and a glass of wine each. The salad was doused in vinegar, and not much else. The pasta was served late (and our glass of wine almost 15 minutes later). They offered freshly grated parmesan cheese, which they hold in a napkin, and grated it all over the table, and did not remove it. We were never offered a refill on wither our soda or wine. The kicker is when we were asking for the check, my friend spotted a large roach crawling up and down the wall in their open kitchen! Then, while we were watching it, we realized that there were two. We quietly pointed this out to our server, and she did not look surprised, apologetic, or phased at all by this. She barely even gave a response, even after she saw it for herself. Then, a manager came over to the table (as if he didn 't know) an asked us how everything was okay? We again, quietly explained to him what we saw, and pointed this out to him. He unconvincingly apologized, picked up our checkbook, and walked away, but not before asking us if we were going to leave the tip in cash, and if we needed change to do so. You would think he would want to contain a situation like this. Since he made absolutely no effort, and there was nothing good about this place at all, I 'm writing this review. Do yourselves a favor, and never go to this terrible excuse for a restaurant.

A good restaurant and most likely my experience were isolated. The waiter basically sucked. He never checked on us while we were sitting and I had to go to the bar to order more drinks. He also neglected to give us breadsticks and bread (bread is awesome) and never told us the specials. I let the manager know. Food was good though.

I hosted a party two weeks ago, and unfortunately, it was a disappointing experience. The food was burnt, and both the coffee and tea were served cold. The waitstaff provided extremely poor service, and basic condiments like salt and pepper were not available on the tables. Additionally, there was no milk or sugar provided. After the event concluded, I received numerous calls, which was rather frustrating.
