Blvd Grille - West St Paul

This was my first visit to this tavern and the highlight was definitely the exceptional service provided by our waiter, Ran. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and when I asked for recommendations, he couldn't pick just one because he enjoyed everything. He listed off several items that he thought we would enjoy, making it easy for me to choose what I was craving.

I ordered the chicken tenders, fries, and a side of ranch. The fries and ranch were tasty. The chicken was a bit overcooked but still decent. This was an appetizer portion and definitely big enough to split.

The food was good (it's basically the same as Trail Stop Tavern in Eagan) but the service was awful. I'm hoping it was due to the restaurant being busy, but honestly, our waitress just didn't seem to be very attentive. I've been here in the past when it was Boulevard Bar and Grill and everything was always good I'll try BLVD Tavern again sometime in the future.

Pretty good food, attentive wait staff. Pizza is excellent, burgers sandwiches are good. Lots of other food, that I haven't tried yet but friends have, are also good. Try the taco salad (huge), the teriyaki rice bowl (good for 2 meals), or the cod (nice flakey breading). Pricing about the same as other bar/restaurants. Wear your jeans or shorts. Fun casual atmosphere.

The service was excellent at this restaurant. While the meatball hoagie was tasty, it was a bit messy and the bun became soggy. Despite this, I had an overall positive experience.
