The food at this restaurant is amazing, with a creative and unique twist on traditional Chinese cuisine. The portions are generous, especially the meat dishes which come in large containers. I highly recommend this takeout option.

Quite possibly the worst takeaway I have ever had. Mixed starter dried out and hard and no satay sauce for chicken. Beef in black bean sauce tasteless and gloopy. Chicken chow main again tasteless not smoky as it normally is. Prawns in finer and spring onion. Rubbery and full on finer. Very disappointing

On holiday nearby we were pleased to discover China Garden was open on a Sunday evening. From the initial phone call to order, everything was top quality. The food was ready when we arrived to pick it up and we were greeted with a smile and served quickly. Back at our cottage we found all the food items (a meal for two) were piping hot and looked superb. The portions were very generous and all tasted delicious. Most enjoyable and highly recommended. The young woman working at the front counter was impressively organized despite the bustling atmosphere of the small eatery. The cuisine was delicious and skillfully prepared. I highly suggest visiting Alcombe for a meal if you are in the area, as both the Chinese restaurant and the nearby tandoori eatery are excellent options.
