Wates Co Delicatessen

The service and food at this restaurant are fantastic. During lockdown, we ordered four cheese and meat boxes for pickup and were impressed by the amazing selection of cheese, celery, vine tomatoes, crackers, and chutney. We also added some salami and various meats, all of which were beautiful and fresh. Recently, we ordered a larger hamper for a 50th birthday and were equally impressed by the gorgeous and fresh selection. We can't wait for the shops to open so we can shop directly and explore their vast selection of quality produce. The staff are friendly and helpful, and we highly recommend this restaurant to everyone.

This deli is fantastic! They offer a wide selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, and bread. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. The pastries and cakes, baked fresh, are absolutely delicious.

This is more like an old fashioned greengrocers, and it's nice to have a shop like this in town. It is not primarily a place to stop and eat, although you can make up a meal to take away. We have visited it several times since it opened.

Popped in today to get a vegan friend some Birthday treats. A good selection was available, all beautifully packaged. However, what struck me most was the amazing advice given about the products, the helpfulness, the friendliness and overall great customer service. Would certainly recommend this for gifts generally, but above all, gifts that are a little different. A credit to the independent trader.
