Steak & Rib's Padous - West Nipissing

I ordered a 10 oz filet minion rare and got 2 thin over boiled pieces of any kind of away over spiced meat at a price of $38. I also had the chowder suppe and it was also terrible. the service was slow and we were not asked if we wanted to refill or dessert. I would not go back or recommend.

The place is not chic, but the menu has been excellent for eating. the portions were generous and the veggie of the day (a medley of root veggies, broccoli flower cabbage) surprised me because it was so perfectly cooked seasoned, it must... come from the kitchen of my motherma. that told me that the cook really cares about the quiet of eating, since even top kitchen restaurants in the usually only a next-judgment of sweet as if it were a afterthought. and my Thai bun was bribed with both black white sesame seeds, another sign of a knowledgeable cook. was delicious! the best part was the owner who stopped in our table for a friendly talk. what a nice guy! just a few blocks from the trans canadian hwy, definitely worth switching on.

The food was good. order surfing and could not eat it all. I've been cleaning up enough for a whole other meal. service was good and friendly.

Our server was rude of the approach. she asked us if we wanted to start a drink and before we could answer, she said I'd bring them water. we were treated very badly. eating was in order with taking the...pasta that was drowned in a tasteless tomato sauce. she never asked how everything was that she never offered drinks or dessert after the meal. there was no one we could talk to. all my years of experience in the hospitality industry and from all the restaurants that I've been sponsoring, this was the first time I didn't tap. are we going back?

Great restaurant with good size portions. Would not hesitate to recommend this place. It's the only Steakhouse we have in Sturgeon and the food is very good
