We had been recommended to visit and we were not disappointed. Starters were lovely fish cake and garlic mushrooms. We both had fish and chips for the main course. I had the full portion and my wife had the “light bite”. With hindsight the light bite was very generous and would have been fine. The normal portion was huge. The fish was lovely and very well cooked. All in all the food was good and very reasonably priced. The staff were exceptional had time for everyone even though they were very busy. Just brilliant.

We were recommended to this pub by Hugh at Brampton Dales Farm for an evening meal. Wow, what a find, we will be here EVERY night during our 4 night stay. Superb food, my Goan Lamb curry was out of this world, so authentic my husbands Turkey roast outstanding, very generous portions so tasty. The staff are so friendly, work as a great team. The prices are extremely competitive, a perfect recommendation. Thank you for a superb evening, we are VERY impressed.

We had a great meal at the restaurant. We both enjoyed the Glastonbury Lamb, which was delicious and filling, and the lamb was very tender. For dessert, we had ice cream and Lemon Meringue pie. The setting was lovely and the service was excellent. Thank you!

I visited this restaurant today and had the chicken tikka curry and chips, which were cooked perfectly. My partner had the BBQ ribs, which were so tender they fell right off the bone and were absolutely delicious. The staff were both efficient and polite, and nothing was too much trouble for them. I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant - it's definitely a 5-star experience.

Four of us went to the restaurant on a Sunday afternoon. The two adults ordered the roast beef, which came with a large Yorkshire pudding, well-cooked tender beef, decent roast potatoes, standard peas, carrot sticks, and steamed cauliflower. We had to ask for extra gravy as there was not enough for both of us. The children ordered scampi and chips, and spaghetti bolognese kids meals, which all looked nice with no complaints. For dessert, the banoffee pie was the standout option. However, the syrup sponge, sticky toffee pudding, and thin custard were disappointing and seemed like they were bought from a cheap store. Overall, there were some good points and some room for improvement, but we enjoyed our meal and will return.
