Prospect Fish Shop - West Launceston

The restaurant offers a wide variety of seafood, including fish and potato cakes, all beautifully displayed for you to choose and have cooked and served hot. The menu also includes chips, hamburgers, chicken dishes, and cold drinks. The restaurant has excellent off-street parking behind the shop. The service was friendly and the food was served promptly. During a previous visit at a busier time, there was a longer wait for the food due to the large crowds.

Always great service and food. This is one of my favourite places to stop and feed the family or to grab that ideal burger after a massive hike.

This is the only place where I will eat battered fish. The food and service are exceptional!

The fish was lovely and perfectly cooked, although I would have preferred crumbed (they only offer flake crumbed and I can't eat flake). I really enjoyed the potato scallop- batter was delicious and the potato lovely and soft inside. Chips were a little average- not bad but not the best I've had either. Overall, a nice meal that satisfied my craving for fish and chips.
