Village Fish - West Lancashire

The food is freshly prepared and the portions are generous. The fish and chips are excellent.

I just had the fish and chips at this restaurant, but at least some of the chips were soggy. The fish was stale and almost disgusting, especially if you have ever had fresh fish before. I don't understand how anyone could buy such low-quality food, let alone serve it to customers. The restaurant itself was clean and the staff were efficient, so I would suggest trying the Chinese food instead if you do decide to eat here. This experience only adds to Britain's reputation for poor-quality fish. I would recommend going to Stafford's on Burscough St in Ormskirk instead, but unfortunately they closed early today. Next time, I will go without food rather than eat this poor quality.

The Kingdom sauce is amazing, whether you choose ribs or chicken with Kingdom sauce. The spring rolls are also delicious. Enjoy!

Had chips n curry was really nice curry was brilliant

Sometimes when busy the quality drops a bit, and tonight's meal epitomised that. Stodgy fried rice and greasy noodles... not very tasty beef and bland Beef Cantonese with far too many onions ... really could have been Onion Cantonese.... Chips were nice fresh as being the only positive.
