Bidrage med feedbackWe were here for an event and had drinks at the bar. It has good seating to lounge and just enjoy the people you're with while noticing others around you. The bartenders were knowledgeable but seemed to get overwhelmed at times when it got busy but that's understandable. The drinks were made with thought and care with generous pours. I would come back another time for drinks or possibly even a meal.
I decided to book a room 15 minutes before I checked in the night before July 4th. Who can't benifit from a staycation at a great hotel in the area. The Palihouse has always been one of my favorite spots and when it's quiet, I like it even more. The room was great, big, had a kitchen, coffee maker, blender, stove top and microwave. A separate sitting area with a lot of room and the bed was super comfortable. My only issue was with the inhabitants of the room next door. They were rowdy and loud from about 2 am through 7 am, when I decided to leave. Hotel staff asked them to be quiet a few times, which was much appreciated. I've never had an issue with noise there before, hence still giving the hotel 5 stars.
I visited a trendy restaurant in West Hollywood for an event. The food was delicious, the service was satisfactory, and the wine was decent. The event space was spacious and could accommodate a large crowd. However, there was only one valet attendant on duty, causing a slight delay in getting inside as cars began lining up. Exiting was quick and easy.
I have only visited this hotel for events, so I cannot speak much about the rooms. However, I have always enjoyed this quaint boutique hotel. It is not too mainstream, but a hidden local gem. I have always had a good time here and the people watching is quite entertaining. The food is also decent. The only downside is that parking in the area can be a bit challenging.
I booked a room with Palihouse West Hollywood to treat myself and celebrate in style (I was in LA for the premiere of a movie I worked on). I booked only two nights on the website for the corner suite, as that was all that was available, at the time. It is listed on the website as a two room, corner suite. It looked amazing, with arched windows and funky furniture. I was excited to stay there, based on what I had seen on their website and what I had read on other reviews. When I arrived, Dennis was working the front desk and started to check me in. He was warm, welcoming and patient with me as I sorted out a credit card issue. Realizing it was a special occasion for me (I can only guess… or maybe knowing the room I had was above the lounge and it was a Friday night) he offered me a complimentary upgrade… to the penthouse. It was impeccable and amazing and huge. But the room aside, what made my stay at Palihouse stand out was the level of service from EVERYONE who I encountered there. The wait-staff, the valets (who RAN to the garage and remembered me), Emily, Makeda and Bianca... even the new hire (sorry, I forget his name), the maintenance guy who came to deal with the air conditioning (fixed quickly, with a smile) and everyone else who smiled, were polite, held doors, etc. I asked if it was ok to bring a few friends back after the premiere to celebrate and was not only welcome to do so, but was offered to host my guests on the roof-top terrace as an option. In the end, the hotel was even able and willing to accommodate me for an extra two nights in the suite. The Palihouse is not inexpensive but incredibly good value. It was warm, welcoming and had a vibe about it that made me feel like I could not have picked a better place to call home for my trip to LA. I am already working hard on finding a reason to go back soon! Thank you to everyone who made my stay the best hotel experience I have had.
