Bidrage med feedbackBooked a spa day for myself and two daughters. Unfortunately was not impressed from the start but I can say the staff were lovely. On arriving we were given quite grubby looking robes and informed they no longer supplied slippers even though the booking confirmation said they did. Then told that, at 9.30am, the towels were not ready and would be bought to us. Granted they came to us within 15 mins. Went straight to the pool and were lucky as there were only three beds left. Stayed by pool till 12 as we could not get into the relaxation rooms. Two of us went for treatments. Mine was lovely as was the therapist. Had to get dressed again for lunch which, on a spa day is a bit of a bind but lunch was really nice. Tried the relaxation rooms again but no beds. Went to the pool but no beds. Sat outside on the available beds wrapped in robes and towels for about 45 mins. Back to pool, no beds. Back to relaxation room and the three beds were free. After all that time waiting not very relaxing because every two minutes people were coming in and out of the room to see if the beds were free or use the sauna in the corner of the room. Left quite early. Very disappointed with the facilities. I felt it was unable to cope with trying to facilitate hotel guests, gym members and spa day guests. As it had been a treat for my daughters, one of which is 5 months pregnant I felt we had a very unrelaxed waste of time and money.
Friendly reception, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were good, everything we needed. We ate in the restaurant. It was eerily quiet but the food was very good. We used the pool and spa. The pool was a good temperature and the jacuzzi, sauna and steam rooms were all working. My only criticism was that people left towels on the beds and were nowhere to be seen. This meant that my group were unable to enjoy sitting together. Treatments were brisk rather than luxurious but the relaxation rooms were excellent. I would definitely return.
I've been to this hotel for a conference whit my company in July and I've decided to come back for a spa and stay whit my fiance. She was so happy about this hotel. Very close from London, located in a nice village call Stock. Food was great and also the service was outstanding. Would go back again definitely. Rooms: 4 Service: 4
