The George - West Berkshire

This restaurant is a great place to dine in. It's my top choice when I'm in town. The food is amazing with a wide variety of options to choose from.

I decided to visit this restaurant to trace back my roots, as I was adopted. I had a drink and a light lunch here. The female staff member was exceptional, giving me a warm welcome with a big smile and engaging in conversation. She poured the Guinness perfectly on the first try, which showed her excellent training. The restaurant was very clean and well-maintained. If I lived closer, I would make this place my local hangout. The lunch was exactly what we needed before exploring the village to learn more about my family's heritage. I will definitely revisit next time I am in the area.

We had a great meal at The George, and they went above and beyond to make my relative feel special on his birthday. It was a lovely gesture and we are very grateful to the team at this beloved village pub. Thank you!

First time back in our local since lockdown and I'm so pleased to say that the Sunday roasts are still as brilliant as they were previously if not better and a cracking portion too, will be defo be back probably every Sunday, only mins...walk for us, great service too

Met with friends here as a halfway point between London and Gloucestershire as not too far off the Beautiful village. Had Sunday lunch which was very nice, plentiful and well priced. Obviously a good village locals pub. There was nothing pretentious about it. Social...distancing measures were excellent. The young staff were very attentive. I would definitely return.
