Charlotte and the team hosted my sister's hen party in the Garden room back in May and it was perfect! Charlotte was really responsive in the run up to the day, making it easy to organise, and execution on the day itself was great. We had the privacy of the room for an event, then food for c. 30 people, which was delicious, then could keep the room for the rest of the evening for drinks. All for a very reasonable refundable deposit. Thanks Charlotte the team!

We had booked out the garden room for a wedding reception. It was a fantastic space and we and our guests were super impressed with the quality of the buffet food we ordered. Nothing was too much trouble. We had a great time

We had our post wedding registry office ceremony family gathering here and it was just superb! Everyone loved the food and we had lots of comments about how good it was. It came out super promptly and the staff were brilliant. Would definitely recommend to anyone for a private function. Thanks to Char and the team for making our wedding day celebrations go so smoothly!

This is a charming pub near Newbury centre with car park, friendly and efficient bar staff and decently-kept draught beer: Timmy Taylor and Gem on our visit. The room was clean with better than average tea and coffee facilities and en-suite shower. Breakfast was a little disappointing: serve yourself with capsule coffee machine, cool croissants and the only hot option was Pot Noodle-style porridge: remove foil and add hot water, that I did enjoy. I also enjoyed the spicy tomato juice. On balance I would definitely go again but might get breakfast in a café next time.
