Bidrage med feedbackThe restaurant always has a great variety of plants available, including herbs, flowers, fruit trees, and shrubs. They are always healthy and well-maintained.
I visited this restaurant with my three granddaughters, aged 3, 4, and 6 years old. Unfortunately, there was an issue in the kitchen that day, so we were only able to order from a limited menu. The children enjoyed their food, which arrived promptly. I decided to order the jacket potato, which was decent but nothing outstanding.
I drove 6 miles to the last Wyevale in Swindon to try their Wimbledon Afternoon Tea for two special, advertised to be served from 2pm. Despite arriving at 3:40pm on a Sunday afternoon, with the garden centre closing at 4:30pm, I was told that the kitchen was closing down and they could not accommodate me. When I asked the lady at the till until what time the afternoon tea was available, she replied, "I don't know, I just work here." I was very disappointed with my experience and won't be returning. Next time, I'll try Dobbies, which is closer to home.
Visiting the Garden Centre, we popped into the café for a hot chocolate and cakes for the kids. Quick service, reasonably priced with very nice hot choc. Free water for the kids. Lots of seating and tables though not cleaned down that often. An OK pit stop.
Our first visit, meeting friends for lunch. Sign said no hot lunches being served so we opted for soup for one of us and a sandwich for the other. I asked if the soup came with a roll, was informed that it didn't so I asked for one. No rolls but they could provide bread and butter. OK, I ordered this. When it came there was one slice of bread already buttered that's what you do for children! The cost of this slice of buttered bread was £1.50 !! I'd like to know their justification for this.
