Coffee#1 Newbury - West Berkshire

This place is still a badly managed dump. Staff not wearing masks. Tables filthy. Dirty cups not picked up. The seats are both gross and highly uncomfortable. Poor choice of food. Coffee cups only half filled up. Avoid.

The person serving me didnt know whether they sold toast or not. Then didn't know if they serve wholemeal bread! How would you know if you sell wholemeal bread? I mean you didn't know you sold toast!!! Toast came .... cold with no margarine or butter. Because in his defence...... we all like dry toast for breakfast don't we. No? Must be a cafe 1 thing. Dry toast YUM!! After asking if I could have some butter.... I get some fresh out the fridge. Like a brick. Delicious I think in future I'll order something far less complicated than a slice of toast. Maybe a glass of water

The coffee here is fantastic. I enjoyed both of the triple shot flat whites. Highly recommend trying them.

This restaurant used to be one of our go-to spots since my daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease. She really loved the gluten-free homity pie. Unfortunately, it seems like they have stopped offering it on the menu now.

The coffee, atmosphere, and staff at this restaurant are fantastic and definitely worth checking out.
