Gerik's Ole' Czech Bakery - West

The service was phenomenal here. The Lord who helped me was such a help for a passer-by like me. I was overwhelmed by the decisions and he let me know what they had in any case. I enjoyed a fresh poppy seed cache and it's one of the best I've ever had. I usually stop at the corner bakery on the way to Austin, but I would rather enjoy Gerik's wonderful bakery selection. It feels much more authentic and local. Don't miss this jewel while you drive through West, TX.

This place was on my list to try after a WHILE — always see signs when we withdraw for the Czech stop, but usually have no time for a full meal. Finally, on the recommendation of a friend, it visited her cinnamon rolls. At least we knew that we were blown away, not only by their cinnamon rolls, but by their CZECH PIZZA! I speak Sauerkraut, mustard, sausage and Cheddar on delicious crust. Mmmmm! Cinnamon roll was of course fantastic and they had choices! Will definitely be back.

Wow! Some of the best food I've eaten in a while. The chicken was so tender and tasty. I had the parmesan chicken strips and my husband and the Poopsie Special (which is basically a loaded buffalo chicken sandwich) and they were both amazing. Then of course we had to take some pastries and they were all delicious and so soft and fluffy!!

Delicious! Had one side won the side comparison of apples and a dessert from a competitor and Geriks on both! Update, compared to Gerik's with the other competitor and Gerik's is the ultimate winner on apple cachees and also breakfast sandwiches. There is something about the light and buttery bread.

OMG! Just had the best lunch and dining experience! My lunch was the best! The home made chips were excellent. The staff was super friendly and knowledgeable! Everything was as ordered! Their cinnamon rolls are to die for! Y'all have got to try this place (Gerik's Old Check Bakery)!
