Landhaus Bacher - Weinzierl bei Krems

Short story: excellent food, even for pickier eaters/non meat eaters (they have a vegetarian menu and it’s AMAZING super friendly team! The one sad thing/ reason I give a 4 is that the wine selection is, well, pretty basic. I’m a huge wine fanatic and have worked in wine, and expect at least some funky stuff to go with the pretty modern and funky food! Also I’m almost 99% sure our wine was corked but the sommelier seemed a bit hesitant about that. She was nice about it all, but she didn’t seem like she knew. Long story: So, we’ve been here twice and the first time was for a wedding (actually a double wedding! in June (my wedding and sister in laws . I had very low expectations for many reasons not in the least because we were in a big group! They went above and far far beyond any expectations. Actually, compared to other 2 Michelin’s in Vienna, they were the only restaurant to properly take note of my annoying food requirements and actually prepare something outstanding!! So we naturally went back again a few days ago with friends and stayed the night there. Absolutely love it and defo recommend, but I wish they would get some amazing wines to pair with the amazing food and get rid of the classical stuff!

Wonderful place with awesome food and wine. Not cheap but well worth the price. The service is very attentive! If weather permits try to get a table in the garden!

Amazing food and staff! Beautiful atmosphere! We sat in the garden and enjoyed a 7 course meal. A wonderful experience!

One of the best restaurants in which we have eaten! And it was a great value for the level of service, detail, quality, etc.We ordered one each of the menus and both were spectacular. Were we lucky enough to visit regularly, I'm sure I would go a la carte, but it was a tremendous view of the kitchen's formidable apitutde and the quality of the local food. We got the wine pairings as well. The wines were well suited to the dishes and very interesting to learn more about the regional wines.
