Asia food is a large and beautiful restaurant with sushi and various dresses from the Asian tradition. it also supplies food to house. there are good and bad things to say. on the bright side, they probably serve the best quality sashimi in weimar. also they have. a large selection of Asian dresses from Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese cousins, so it is hard not to find anything to taste any. the tempura is especially good imho. now the bad part. when you order a Sashimi menu, the amount of food varies a lot, based on what the chef left at the moment, so you can pay 15 euro for a rather small part. especially if you order a Sashimi order because the number of salmon is not specified in the menu. overall: go for it, but if they are really hungry, ready to order accordingly!
In the evening we had reserved a table at the hotel restaurant Bettina von Arnim. The restaurant is very nice, but you can only sit inside. In this beautiful weather we looked for fresh air, so we said the table off and went for food search. Our choice fell on a neat sushi restaurant. We took place on the roadside shaded seats. The young employee recommended the terrace on the back of the house. That was a good tip! This beautiful outdoor terrace could not be seen. There we could still enjoy the evening sun. Terrace on the back of the house The terrace seemed to us relatively new, therefore also very well maintained and beautifully designed with dowel plants. The cards were handed over and we stabbed. Later our young Asian was back. Our choice: 1 bottle of mineral water, 0.75 l € 4.90 Grauburgunder, 0.2l € 3.90. Appetizers: Edamame € 3,00 for both of us 6 vegetarian mini spring rolls € 2,00 for my husband 1 Sake Temaki (Lachs, Avocado, Japanese Mayonaise, Sesam and Salat) € 3,60 for me. The appetizers were served after a reasonable waiting period. The restaurant was occupied at most a quarter. From our place we could see how many people here picked up their ordered dishes. There was a lot to do in the kitchen. Our appetizers also look good. With the salted Edamame beans nothing can go wrong. Spring rolls nicely crispy and hot, but not homemade (we do not expect at the price too). I had problems with the Temaki Sushi. The ingredients are optically introduced into the Nori Algablatt. Sake Temaki But the loose arrangement could not be eaten by hand or with sticks (at any rate as non-Asiat). We went on our main course. For both of us the Sushi Menu GIFU € 15,00: 12 Maki (Lachs Thunfisch) and 7 Nigiri (Makrele, Sepia, Lachs, Tuna, Garnele, Seeaal, Ei) The sushi specialities are freshly prepared here, you can observe in the open kitchen. Sushi preparation Sushi is served on classic wooden plates. Wasabi, ginger and soy sauce were added separately. Maki and Nigiri In the meantime, the employee looked past us again and asked if he liked us. We liked to follow this and ask for ginger. This was done without calculation. That was a relaxed and delicious evening for us. Payment by EC card was only possible at the switch, but this is not a problem. The interior is also well maintained and nicely divided. The restaurant is not wheelchair accessible. Some steps lead to the restaurant, to the terrace as well. The clean toilet rooms are located in the basement. We were kindly accepted and made to an evening walk through Weimar.
Don't do it!! I had Pho and it didn't have any taste. My husband had some grilled tuna and sushi and it was not fresh. We had a fishy after taste for the...
Wir freuen uns auf Reminiszenzen an Reisen nach Asien und betreten den schön gestalteten Raum. Die umfangreiche Speisekarte weist auf allerlei Länder hin, sie ist schon verdächtig vielfältig. Wir bestellen Tom Yam Gai mit Huhn. Das an sich thailändische Gericht läuft geschmacklich weit am Vorbild vorbei; allzuviel Kokosmilch war wohl nicht da. Scharf ist die Suppe, das stimmt immerhin. Irgendetwas hat die Brühe rötlich gefärbt, was hat das hier zu suchen?Dann also das vietnamesische Rindfleischgericht Bún Bò. Vietnam ist ja für seine feine aromatische Kräuterküche bekannt. Da kann der Eisbergsalat naturgemäß nicht viel beitragen, zum Glück kann man eine beigestellte Limettensoße darübertun - man braucht sie allerdings eigentlich für das ganze Gericht. Der geschmacksneutrale Reis bekommt auch etwas ab. Die Rindfleischstücke sind recht zäh. Aus Vietnam kann das Rezept jedenfalls kaum stammen, Geschmacksneutrales kommt dort nicht auf den Teller. Die beliebte Soßenkombi - Soja, Sambal Oelek usw. - steht zum Glück auf dem Tisch, so kann ich mir ein Essen mit irgendwie asiatischem Geschmack zurechtrühren.Das dritte Essen im Bunde hat meine Begleitung, ein "grünes Curry". Das weist auch wieder in Richtung Thailand, wie die Suppe am Anfang, sieht aber statt rot nun blaßgrün aus und ist irgendwie scharf. Auch hier war wohl die falsche Seite im Kochbuch aufgeschlagen (welches Kochbuch veröffentlicht solche Rezepte?). Das Ganze war leider eine - wenigsten preiswerte - Pleite, alles kostet mit Ingwertee (der ist ok) 20,50€.Immerhin hat das Haus eine Menge Fans, wir plaudern im Theater noch mit einem zufriedenen Besucher, und auf der Webseite gibt es Lob. Das Haus ist auch voll besetzt. Wir verstehen das nicht, freuen uns aber, wenn in besseren Restaurants jetzt noch Plätze frei sind.
