The Boat House Bistro - Wealden

We made a booking for 19 people for a 80th birthday celebration. From the moment we booked we received excellent service. The staff were very accommodating; we were very well looked after. The food was just amazing. We would highly recommend The Boat House. Thank you.

We visited this restaurant after reading the Google reviews and we were not disappointed, we were greeted by Matt the manager he was really friendly and welcoming, our table was so nice with a romantic feel. Our waitress was friendly and professional and she made sure we had everything. Our main course was stunning I had the fish cakes and my husband had the sea bass, he said it was cooked to perfection. Dessert was the spiced ginger sticky toffee pudding for me and the cheese board for my husband we were very impressed on the quality of our choices. The whole ambiance of the restaurant is romantic and is very well decorated throughout. I would recommend this restaurant with no question and would love to visit again sometime. The Boathouse keep doing what you are doing because you are doing a great job!

Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed because of Covid-19. But there's always next year to look forward to!

We were incredibly thankful for Thomas throughout our planning process and on the day of our wedding. He provided a genuine and personable approach in helping us organize our day, meeting deadlines, and listening to our ideas and needs. Thomas managed to incorporate everything we wanted within our budget, suggesting ideas we hadn't considered and allowing us to customize our menu for a cozy family feel. Our guests were impressed by how smoothly the day ran, with seamless transitions between the wedding breakfast and evening reception. Thomas even went above and beyond by bringing me a warm drink during our rainy photoshoot. He made sure we were always on the same page by meeting us locally to finalize plans and sending updated documents. The staff were fantastic, with attentive and polite waitresses serving up amazing food. The venue looked stunning day and night, rain or shine.
