The Sunset Family Restaurant - Waukesha

Diner food and experience at its best! We both had the sausage and biscuit breakfast $9.95) which comes with 2 eggs any style), hash browns, an open face biscuit with tasty sausage gravy plus your choice of bacon or sausage. I chose scrambled and bacon. The bacon is thick and perfectly cooked. Eggs were perfect, too my partner had sunny side up which are sometimes not great at a restaurant). The hash browns are the shredded variety and were fine but not overly crispy or browned. The biscuit was fresh and delicious. The gravy was good and had plenty of sausage crumbles in it. The food was prepared quickly and served with attention to detail. It wasn’t busy because it was mid morning around 10am) when we were there but it seemed like the kitchen and wait staff knew their jobs and did them well and could handle a rush. The website says the place is open from 6 am until 3 pm. Not sure if that is due to Covid or their regular schedule.

My boyfriend and I found this spot by chance one Friday night and we’ve gone back almost every weekend since I cannot rave enough about the quality of the food and service! Prices are insanely good, the portions are large and the food is always fabulous. Waitstaff is so kind and an absolute joy to interact with. I cannot recommend this place enough.

What great food. The place is clean and the food was so good. Plenty of parking. The service was outstanding. There was road construction in front of the place and it was hard to get into the parking lot but it was well worth it. Prices were good as well.

Nice neighborhood restaurant. Went for breakfast. Hadn't gone in two years due to Covid. The menu was pretty comprehensive with omelets, wrap, and egg entrees. Prices were reasonable, service was great. Coffee was kind of weak tho!

Was delicious French Toast and bacon breakfast. Good old fashioned family place. Would like a senior citizens menu or let us eat off the kids menu. Other wise very good.
