Been here 3 times and they’re 3 for 3 on the food being really great. Italian beef that you can rank amongst the biggest names in the city. Just now had the best wings of my life. I personally am granting this place a Michelin Star, because I have that type of power. Food: 5 Service: 5

My husband and I stopped into Uncle D 's on November 11th, 2023 for lunch in the early afternoon. Not lunch (Noon) mind you. It was Veterans Day. There were about 6 gentlemen at the bar, one table of 4 people and one table with two people when we walked in. We sat at a table near the table of two. The bartender was a young guy and was getting drinks for the men at the bar and brought food to the four person table behind us. We sat at the table for 15 minutes waiting for the bartender to at least acknowledge us with a I will be with you in a moment , get our drink order and menus. But NO. He didn 't even do that when he walked right by our table AND did a side glance so he KNEW we were there. I have only been to this place once before and that was a disaster with the ladies bathroom having a really strong sewer smell. Needless to say, we will never bother with this place again. We drove to Riverside Pub in Mchenry where the owner took our drink order and menus and said Hello two minutes after sitting down. Uncle D 's bartender on that shift needs to learn customer service. I wish we had a better experience. My hubby and I went out to eat for the first in awhile and we never went to Uncle D's. Service was poor, food was lower side of okay, but why I gave them a 1 star because my husand got sick. We think it was the beer because it was flat coming from draft also flat from the bottle as well. Food: 1 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3
