Halfway Cafe - Watertown Town

A local bar that it unassuming from the outside and many might drive right by. The food is very good reasonably priced and the staff is friendly and attentive.c

Don’t go there if you are a black… The first impression was ok for the place but after I had my drink the bartender asked me to lower my cell phone volume. My phone wasn’t that loud and I’m a very quiet person overall. He told me I could “bother” other people… Guess what?: a white lady next to me had the phone louder listening to music and he didn’t say anything to her. Just a cherry on to of the cake, I saw the same bartender grabbing a Red Bull from the fridge under the camera, walking away off that, open the can for himself and start to to drink it.Too bad because the food is great and the drinks are good.Parking is limited.

This place made an already horrific day even worse. I got a fish and chip and....yikes. Very low quality, mushy fish with bland breading. It tasted exactly like those cheap boxes of Gordon 's fish you get from the freezer section at the grocery store. Fries somehow managed to be burnt, bland and cold at the same time. The coleslaw was missing most of the ingredients. They served me plain cabbage and carrots in a bowl with parsley on it. They must be overstocked on parsley because it came on EVERYTHING we ordered. My friend ended up with ice cold clam chowder and some painfully mediocre mac and cheese that cost 20 dollars and tasted like it was out of a box. The service was pretty good/friendly but honestly the food was just plain bad/overpriced and once I took a better look around the place seemed dirty as well. I saw multiple people leaving with their plates barely touched. At one point the guy sitting at the next table took a bite of his food and said Ew what the hell is this? I just quickly paid and left very disappointed and hungry.

Another PG spot I've been meaning to try I finally got over there last Friday night. Definitely my kind of place! Fun; lively Local Sports Bar with plenty of Flat Screens to enjoy any Game. Great Beer selection on Tap and an Extensive Menu of all the good Pub Comfort Food. Staff were all Super Friendly welcoming. Innovative Seating in the middle as well ensures plenty of seats even in crowded Weekends. I ordered Bone In Wings a Salad but got Boneless but my server was REALLY Cool about it immediately put in a quick order of Bone in; boxing up the tenders at no charge.Wings were Tasty Meaty the salad was good as well! Definitely recommend will be back (with drinking Buddies) Cheers! ?

Great local place. Good and drink are very good, with a friendly, relaxed vibe.
