Bidrage med feedbackWe discovered this restaurant while browsing the Asian grocery store in the same plaza. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by our experience! The staff seated us and even provided a highchair for our 10-month-old after disinfecting it with wipes, which we appreciated. My husband, who is Japanese Canadian, is very particular about his sushi and was impressed by the fresh and perfectly prepared sushi at this restaurant. I ordered a bento meal which included a variety of sushi, as well as delicious pork katsu that was tender and crunchy without being greasy. The salad and miso soup were also excellent in flavor. I couldn't resist trying the spicy tuna rolls, which did not disappoint. In addition to sushi, this Korean/Japanese restaurant also offers Korean dishes on the menu. Overall, we enjoyed the fantastic sushi and friendly service, and will definitely be returning in the future.
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The atmosphere was clean, bright, and well-designed. The food was fresh and delicious, especially the bulgogi bento box that I ordered. It came with bulgogi, rice, a small salad with sesame dressing, dumplings, and sushi rolls, all for a reasonable price of $10.99. Even though I don't enjoy raw fish, the staff was accommodating and provided me with vegetarian rolls instead. I will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future.
I really enjoy this restaurant more than the all-you-can-eat places that seem to be everywhere now. The Miso soup is delicious and I especially love the dynamite and spicy tuna rolls. The takeout service is quick and affordable, with prices ranging from $3 to $7 for 4-8 piece rolls.
I have left a pretty terrible review here before so I thought I would come back and update you all on my experience again. I had heard that new management had taken over and it was a lot better now so I decided to try again on a Tuesday night. The menu was new and there was still a wide variety to choose from. I chose the ramen takoyaki special which was about 16 dollars together while my boyfriend got the sushi dinner B. I chose the budae ramen because it looked unique and had all my favorite Korean pieces in it (rice cake, fish tofu, kimchi etc) and while the flavor was great and portion size huge, it was a bit spicy to keep sipping after a while and I ultimately could not finish it. The takoyaki was great and the sushi quality was about average. There was still only one employee working but on a Tuesday night at 8:30pm we were the only two in the restaurant so service was not as terrible. I felt slightly bad at how deserted the place felt but hopefully news will spread of its revival. Mr Sushi's food won't blow you away but there is a large variety of food for anyone to come and grab a decent and relatively quick bite.
Some friends and I had lunch here today. All 3 of us were very unsatisfied. The service was a bit slow but not the worst I've seen. The portions are smaller than before, only three California rolls with no wasabi or ginger option. The chicken was horrible. I used to come to this location all the time and get the same meal that used to always come with a perfectly cooked chicken breast. The last two times I have come it's been very slimy dark meat that isn't edible. I told the server and no one cared. 3 of us paid for a meal we couldn't gag down. I looked online and on the receipt to try and find a contact name to address this with management but I couldn't get through to anyone so I'm leaving it here with pictures. Gross.
