Bidrage med feedbackIf I could, I would give zero stars. There’s been multiple instances where I’ve experienced unfriendly staff encounters (mainly the Marshall) on top of the course conditions being barely playable. This is the only course in the area where I don’t feel like me or my family would be welcome. I would hate to see what would happen if I brought my kiddo out to practice putting, or even ride in the cart as they watch dad hit a little white ball around. I would probably get kicked off the course. I know that because it’s happened. On multiple occasions. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. You’ll probably get kicked off the course for trying to have fun.
My family have played Mystic Oaks hundreds of times. My son played high school golf and this was his home course. He now has a son that turned four this week. For his birthday, he wanted to play golf with his dad at Mystic Oaks. They showed up, paid and proceeded to the first hole. The marshal came up to them and kicked them off the course because of his age. Insurance reasons they claimed. We have played there many times with youngsters with no problem. Insurance doesn't prevent them from selling unlimited beer to cart drivers, but a 4 year old on his birthday when the course is empty was a no go. They proceeded to Annbriar and were greeted with happy birthday wishes. We are Waterloo residents and golf is part of our life. We are going to encourage the 100 plus local golfers we know to stay away and spread the word. We supported this place so much over the years regardless of course conditions, fire damage, painted greens, and all because it was part of the local culture. But wrecking my grandsons bday is a one and done. Charlie Robertson
I had the rare opportunity to take my two sons out for the day and thought this would be a nice option for some quality time. We reserved a tee time for 3 and were in a small line at the first hole. Out of no where a shorter stocky guy comes up and asks how many we have playing. I told him it was just myself and my two sons. He said alright we are going to partner you with one other person. I politely shared this was a day of bonding with my boys and we would prefer to play just the 3 of us. Carl, the owner did a 180. He turned red in the face and ignorantly said to one very nice guy working at the at the pro shop to get us a rain check. He had zero reason to be angry and not discuss things further. I told him I would pay for a 4th if that’s what it took. He said ok, go pay for it then. An owner of any business shouldn’t treat its paying customers the way Carl did. He should be embarrassed by his behavior. I did get a nice laugh watching him tee up a few balls straight into the lake to the right of the club house. Carl we will never be back to your course. You belong no where near any customers and the other owners should see that.
They are aerating the front nine so you have to play back nine twice which is fine. There is no cap on how many people can be on the back nine. Sitting 25 minutes at tee box per hole waiting. Asked for a rain check after it took us 2 and a half hours to play 9 holes and the old lady at the front desk was extremely rude. Tried to accuse me of booking through golfnow when I paid the morning of to her. Awful experience. Will not be back.
Service and food was fantastic. I will definitely recommend others to visit. The view is amazing also.
