Adorable little coffee shop with excellent sandwiches and soup. The owners are wonderful people and very accommodating.
As a black person, I would recommend NOT going to this establishment. The first time I went, we were not welcomed. Not even a greeting. 2nd time I went, it was with coworkers. I was hoping the first time was just maybe them having a hard morning. It was the same situation. You get the vibe right away. This is not where you should be. Some excellent breakfast spots that make you feel welcome are Cup of Joe, Fat Cup, and Cabin Coffee. Back in the day, we had a green book to let you know where you would be welcomed. Lincoln Perk would not be in that Green book.
Lincoln Perk is one of my favorite places in Waterloo. All the people who work there are incredibly friendly. The coffee is excellent and the sandwiches are amazing. There is something for everyone, and I love the ambiance, as well. It's a must try if you're in the area! They also use compostable to-go cups and containers which is awesome.
Stopped by during Irish festival for lunch and found great food, friendly staff, and good prices.
