Mary's Diner - Waterbury

Per our request we were seated on the front patio. Service was great. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Called in advance prior to arrival since we were traveling from Massachusetts to New York. We wanted to get permission to be seated in patio area with small covered baby carriage that had two well behaved sleeping 7 lb senior (13 years 14 year old) dogs. They are heavily medicated needing meds every 4 hours for health conditions. The temperatures were extreme 90 degrees so they could not be left unattended in car. I was given permission by a person i spoke to via a phone call to dine with them in patio. We were greatful. Unfortunately the server took our order delivered our food and stated the manager wanted the dogs removed. Mind you no one else was dining in the patio area except for us. I complained since I did call 20 minutes earlier to get permission and was told it was OK. So we were allowed to eat our meal after all. Word to the wise. Even though you get permission via telephone call in advance just prior to arriving do not consider dining at Mary's if you have quiet well behaved concealed pets in a small carriage apparently someone in management does not communicate well with staff when customers call for permission. We did like the restaurant but were upset they changed their mind after delivering our food. We will not return to this place when we travel through the area again.

Food is ok not the greatest the staff is awesome, but the owners wife and daughter are outta control with these crazy prices charging me 12.76 for one waffle with whipped cream that it already comes with that's ridiculous to top it off the waffle is raw on the inside this isn't the first time for outrageous prices. It's ridiculous to charge for everything when it's already included with the meal I will never return and I'd advise you to ask before ordering

The food was delicious! Chocolate chip pancakes were light and fluffy, bacon cooked perfectly crisp. Sausage and cookies were delicious and that says a lot because I usually don't like or but their were really good! Server Melissa was great, very attentive. The prices were so fair in view of the large shares. Very recommended!

The third time here for breakfast. Very good! My girlfriend loves the veggie omelet and the hungry man breakfast never disappointed! Many parking spaces. Coffee is good. Stead is pleasant.

I tried Dina's Omelet from the weekend breakfast special menu. It was delicious!
