China Star - Waterbury

Wow! The food was fantastic. I like Roast Pork with vegetables. It is quite easy to screw the pig with cheap or over boiled or old pig. That was delicately fresh! And the sauce tasted home! I can only imagine how good their light tariff must be! The egg roll was quite normal, but the fried Siegertons also tasted home. This is a clear re-visit.

I have to be honest that we did not intend to eat from this restaurant last night at all. We were in a hurry and passing through Waterbury on our way somewhere else. Started calling a different place and ended up calling this one to order ahead. We were told our food will be ready in 10 minutes, and it was exactly that. Did not expect much, and were pleasantly surprised with the flavor and texture of the food. The white rice had a perfect consistency. We ordered orange chicken, general sows chicken, lemon chicken, a duck dish, and a beef dish. They were all moderately good to excellent. I would definitely go back.

Without a doubt, this is the best place for Chinese food. The portions are generous, especially compared to most places in the USA. The food is incredibly delicious, and the staff, who are part of the family that owns the restaurant, are very friendly. I’ll definitely be returning for more!

After moving to Vermont from San Francisco, they were on the hunt for a good Chinese restaurant, and a colleague recommended this place—and she was spot on! The food is delectable, the variety is impressive, and the prices are what I would expect. The staff is also fantastic. If you’re craving authentic Chinese flavors, this is the place to go!

This might become my new favorite restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, and the portions are generous for the price. I tried the General Tso's Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, and Hot and Sour Soup, all of which were fantastic. The roasted rice was the best I've ever had. I will definitely be ordering from here again in the future!
