Gerig - Wassen

We were on our way to Milan passing through Switzerland and chose Hotel Gerig for dinner. Arriving a bit early the hostess said we could enjoy a drink until the cook arrived. The menu was basic but very good and the portions just the right size. Cost were very reasonable. The village is quite beautiful, so we took many photos before leaving.

After a day in the mountains this is a great place to enjoy a good meal in comfortable surroundings. The decor is modern, service excellent, menu is varied and in many visits we and friends have always had excellent food.

Called in for a late lunch due to a restaurant letting us down. The lady closing up was fantastic let us eat here. Good food, great service.

I stopped with my 3 little dogs on the way back from Wengen, to break up the journey and avoid the 7 km queue at the Gotthard. Quiet hotel, clean room and bathroom, menu with various choices for dinner, as well as a good breakfast. But the most surprising thing was the reading room, with very comfortable armchairs and sofas. A nice relaxation...

Only had lunch here. Very friendly staff. Food was good. Nice garden. Everything looked super clean.
