In its 12 or so years existence, Lincoln remains a bastion of consistency, good food and service in a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.
We had an early dinner in Lincoln. Had a drink at the bar where the bartender ensured that we were aware of all Happy Hour mixed drinks choices as we were not aware and were willing to order the full price. It turned out. I have a peach infused Tito's drink that we are very refreshing and not too citrus. The restaurant has a warm ambience and uses very environmentally friendly lights and decor during the weaving in Lincoln nostalgia everywhere. The Lincoln Pennies under the a see thru plexiglass bar surface is very creative design. I like the super big white pitched throne as the heartpiece and the bathroom doors with Abe and Mary Todd lead you to the right. The menu was not huge, but a good selection of dishes that sound all the Lincoln era. We both ordered the chicken pot cake made from scratches and absolutely delicious. The herb puff layered crust cooked golden brown, the pieces of the chicken breast are delicate and tasty, had Veggies and the Gravy was super tasteful. We ordered potatoes on the side that we share, which were roasted and seasoned, cooked to melt perfection with a large piece of sharp butter. No potatoes in pancakes, but have vegetables and potatoes as required. no dessert when we were very full. Service was very appealing, but it wasn't crowded since we ate early. And there was no rush, it was very relaxing meal. We definitely go back to Lincoln.
Spent $9 on an appetizer (bread rolls). Only two small rolls. The service was pretty slow. Food was okay, but definitely not worth the price.
Good food, but pricey. Super loud couldn’t really hear our own table talk.
